"Affirmation of Lutheranism"-This document is our petition and complaint. Also available is a HANDOUT Survey Questionnaire, to be used as a thought provoking preliminary to provide some basic unbiased general background concerning the issues surrounding CCM, and the ELCA. See also two sermons by Harold D. Schlachtenhaufen, that relate to the handout Survey Questionnaire. In addition, the Survey Questionnaire Flyer is available. Poll is result of the consolidating of comprehensive summaries of more than one thousand e-mail contributions from participants on a Lutheran Christian listserv, composed mostly of ELCA members of who opposed CCM. This discussion is mainly directed toward some Bible passages. The view being presented here is that God does call both male and female members of the body of Christ to leadership roles of service including preaching, and teaching, etc. and that this same view was taught by the apostle Paul.
